SGP Youth

7th-12th Grade

A Place to Be Known
A Place to Grow

SGP Youth gives students in 7th-12th grade a consistent place to build real friendships, grow in Christian faith, ask honest questions, learn practical life lessons, and  discover how their gifts can be used to lead and serve.

More Than Another Meeting

SGP Youth is built around a rhythm that gives students both community and depth. Sundays are where relationships take root, with time to hang out, have fun, study Scripture, ask honest questions, and talk about what faith looks like in everyday life. Thursday nights are intentionally different. This dedicated Bible study gives students a smaller, more focused setting to dig deeper into Scripture, wrestle with questions, and grow in their understanding of God and their faith. Throughout the year, we also make room for experiences outside the regular weekly rhythm. Cookouts, game nights, movie nights, pool parties, outings, and retreats give students opportunities to build stronger friendships, make memories, and step away from everyday distractions. Retreats especially create intentional space for worship, teaching, small groups, reflection, and time with God.

Sundays build community. Thursdays take us deeper. Special experiences help turn those relationships and lessons into something students carry with them.

Sundays | 4:00–6:00 PM: Community, Bible study, discussion, and fun

Thursdays | 7:00–8:00 PM: Focused Bible study and deeper conversation

Special Events & Outings: Time to connect, laugh, and make memories

Retreats: Intentional time for worship, faith, friendship, and reflection

Leadership & Life Skills: Growth that prepares students for what comes next

For Students & Parents

SGP Youth is for students in 7th through 12th grade who need a place to grow in faith, ask real questions, build meaningful friendships, and be known for who they are. Christian faith and Scripture are central to our program, but no church background or polished answers are required. Students are welcome to come as they are. Our regular gatherings are intentionally student-focused. We create room for honest conversation, difficult questions, laughter, growth, and relationships with peers and trusted leaders who choose to show up consistently and invest in their lives. Parents and guardians are an important part of the SGP community. We want families to stay informed and connected while preserving the student-focused environment that makes honest conversation possible. Parents are also welcome to participate in designated mission projects, public events, and other appropriate opportunities.

Students should feel known. Parents should feel informed. Families should feel confident in the people walking beside them.

A Commitment to Safety

The trust families place in us matters. Every SGP volunteer who works with minors completes MinistrySafe screening and a background check. Youth and Young Adult gatherings are held separately to maintain appropriate age boundaries and environments. Shared activities are limited to select large, public events where both groups can participate appropriately.

Safety is not an extra step. It is part of how we build trust.
